Midway Charters is docked at the Salmon River Lighthouse & Marina. We are just 5 miles from downtown Pulaski, NY in Oswego County at the mouth of the Salmon River. The Oswego area has become a popular hunting and fishing destination over the last few decades. Other popular activities include birding, canoeing, kayaking, golf, hiking, scuba diving, and a large assortment of winter outdoor activities.
Our charter boat is parked in the shadows of the famous Selkirk Lighthouse. Built in 1838, the Lighthouse was deactivated in 1858 when the proposed plans for a canal connecting the Salmon River with Oneida Lake and the Erie Canal were dropped. The Lighthouse was sold and turned into a private residence and later joined by the development of an adjacent hotel. Within the last few years the Lighthouse, 3 other rental cottages and the Marina have all received extensive renovations by new owners, and overnight guests now once again have the opportunity to experience what it would have been like a century and a half ago to live in this beautiful location and be "Lighthouse Keeper" for a day or more.
Pulaski, NY which was once called "Fishville" has grown into a hub location for area activities both on the Salmon River and on Lake Ontario.
